Duplex chains are designed to engage and drive sprockets from both sides of the chain. Ramsey manufactures three different styles of duplex silent chain; each has unique features and advantages:
RampowerTM Duplex
Rampower Duplex, also known as RP Duplex, provides approximately two times the power capacity of standard SC Duplex chain. RP Duplex is often well suited for new or replacement applications where power or speed requirements exceed the capability of SC Duplex chain.
RamflexTM
Ramflex is Ramsey’s most robust duplex chain design; it is particularly well suited to applications where shock or very high loads are encountered, or where space is limited. Ramflex directly interchanges with chain produced by some European manufacturers.
SC Duplex
Ramsey has announced the discontinuation of our SC Series product line. We will continue accepting orders for the SC Series until November 1, 2025, after which no new orders will be accepted. Ramsey will continue to provide support for SC products currently in use, as well as offer spare parts until our inventory is depleted. We offer various replacement options. SC Duplex chains have been around the longest, are used primarily in replacement applications, and are often the most economical. SC Duplex offers the advantage of reduced weight, but with a lower power capacity.
