JOB TITLE: PRESS MACHINE OPERATOR

Two Positions Available - Any Level

We will provide on-the-job training.

LEVEL 1:

• Assists higher level Operators focused on learning on the job Operator’s daily tasks including but not limited to check parts in process, changeovers, coils changes, problem solving.
• Able to apply 5s Methodology aiming to create and maintain an organized, safe, clean and efficient workplace.
• Able to tag identification on parts, read gages, and record data on control plan according to Quality Control Standards.
• Responsible for following safety standards established by Ramsey.
• Report production quantities accurately and according to the company’s recording process.
• Able to meet efficiency standards.
• Able to run 2 presses simultaneously.
• Qualified to run 2 to 4 different machines in the department. time.

LEVEL 2:

• Fully able to perform Level 1 tasks.
• Responsible for Press operation including but not limited to coil handling, changeovers, first piece checks, troubleshooting.
• Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, die carts, buggies, etc. to move raw materials, parts, and die sets.
• Consistently apply 5s Methodology aiming to create and maintain an organized, safe, clean and efficient workplace.
• Assist other operators as needed during changeovers, coil changes or when needed to resolve problems during production.
• Cooperate with Toolmakers Team and Maintenance Team providing supportive information when troubleshooting problems to ensure the equipment has acceptable maintenance and it is safe to operate.
• Able to meet efficiency standards.
• Able to run 2-3 presses simultaneously.
• Qualified to run 4 to 8 different machines in the department.

LEVEL 3:

• Fully able to perform Level 2 tasks.
• Ensure the Presses are operating according to Quality, Delivery and Cost KPI’s and working on solutions if the KPI’s are not met.
• Responsible for training Level 1 and 2 Operators.
• Enforce, implement and improve Ramsey safety procedures.
• Enforce, implement and improve 5s Methodology.
• Enforce, implement and improve Continuous Improvement.
• Enforce, implement and improve Quality Standards.
• Ensure accuracy in quality and quantity of all daily production and parts leaving the Department.
• Able to meet efficiency standards.
• Able to run 2-3 presses simultaneously.
• Qualified to run 9 plus different machines in the department.
• Able to manage lead responsibilities when required or in the absence of the lead.

JOB TITLE: CHAIN ASSEMBLER

One Position Available

Multi cycle manual/mechanical assembly equipment operator.
We will provide on-the-job training.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Highly repetitive, multi cycle manual/mechanical assembly equipment.
• The assembler will follow a prescribed routine for each job.
• Each job routine may change due to the chain being built.
• Requires the ability to follow demonstrated steps.
• Requires simple adjusting with liberal tolerances and no fitting.
• Work is typically performed standing at a machine.
• May include walking or sitting some of the time.
• All training is on-the-job.
• No diploma or experience required.
• Work Ethic -Eager to learn the manufacturing assembly process.
• Work as part of a team.
• Dependable - At work on time with little to no lost time.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Select chain parts according to knowledge of chain being assembled with assistance from the trainer
2. Set up and operate chain assembly machine
3. Set up and operate bowl feeder
4. Assemble chain using work instructions or drawings with assistance of the trainer.
5. Inspect chains for defects in buildup or materials
6. Cleans work area, tools and fixtures
7. Other duties as assigned
